SEO = search engine optimisation, let google finds me in the search.
Why choose rank math? Its in the popular page and recommended by other experts on Youtube.
Rank math vs yoast, yoast is quite popular, but looking through the youtube tutorials, people seem to like rank math more. for me who doesn’t know how it works, Of course I choose what people likes.
Setting up rank math SEO(yt tuts)
- Need to register with rank math after installing the plugin
- go to the setup wizard in side tabs
- For the google search console tab, need to authorize, follow the steps then authorize. need to verify too. (can leave it for later)
- leave defaults for other settings.
- come back to main dashboard, click general setting tab in rank math tab. In webmaster tab, click web verification. Click search console verification then get a code from google. paste it in, save then verify in the google.
- goto Google Search Consolewww.google.com › webmasters › tools › sitemap-list
- In the drop down list, there should be your website, if not, click add property then paste URL to continue.
- Adding sitemap will let google find pages on your website. goto sitemap setting in rank math, copy the index.xml thing after the URL. paste in google sitemap and submit.
- Other settings play with it.
After finishing, your google console should show
